Technology, computers, the web and more

Hello and welcome to BenSejas.com. As you may have guessed by the url title my name is Ben Sejas and the purpose of this website is to provide you with tips, information and my opinion covering a wide range of areas. Areas I will be covering include: new technologies, computers (mainly software related), the Internet and any current issue I feel that requires my personal opinion.

New technology is being developed and released everyday, so it is only right that I talk about some of past, present and future technologies that have or will impact our daily life. Technologies such as the mobile phone and television are taken for granted and many people don't realise the huge impact it has had in terms of entertainment and communication.

Talking about new technologies, the computer is one of the world's greatest inventions. Everyone in the world is somehow directly or indirectly affected by the use of computers. You would not be able to read this text or visit any other website without the aid of a computer based system. Storing and sorting through a database of paper records would take forever. Computers have a major impact because they are the basis of any electrical product. I will focus on the software side of computers on this website.

The Internet is a beautiful thing. It is so resourceful and I can not imagine life with out it. I remember when I had no Internet access at home and the only form of research I could undertake was to visit the local library. I was never a fan of reading a 300 page book. But now I can use the Internet and with the help of search engines such as Google and Yahoo I can find the information I need in seconds.

Finally, there are so many current events and issues around the world that I feel the need to mention. Such events and issues would include conflicts in other countries, global warming and natural disaster. As a part of this world I feel the need to express my opinion on such matters and try to come up with possible solutions to them if possible.
